YANING has launched model YN-WP-AC50, an operating room wall panel built around a 1.2 mm electrolytic steel skin with silver ion antibacterial coating, assembled on a seamless interlocking aluminium joint system. The panel was developed after field reports that wall finishes in theatres were failing at joints and along high-touch surfaces, in rooms where walls are disinfected several times per shift.
Operating theatre walls are exposed to alcohol, chlorine, hydrogen peroxide and quaternary ammonium compounds on a daily basis. Standard coated panels can chalk, blister or discolour within two to three years under that regime, and joint sealant can become a harbour for microbial growth. The YN-WP-AC50 addresses both the surface and the joint, with a salt spray rating of 500 hours and a chemical resistance profile tested against the four disinfectant families used in most hospitals.
Panels are available in matte, gloss and wood grain finishes with RAL colour matching, so the theatre department can be coordinated with corridors, recovery bays and staff areas without switching panel systems. Standard panels measure up to 1200 by 3000 mm and are supplied knock-down on steel pallets with edge protection and a moisture barrier wrap for sea freight.
